Según la entrevistada, en general en Estocolmo, Goteburgo y Malmoe los criterios para las ayudas culturales son muy parecidos a nivel municipal, al igual que con los criterios establecidos por las regiones y a nivel estatal (por el estado, Kulturrådet), aunque estos no sean idénticos. Pero estos criterios se diferencian mucho de municipio a municipio; tanto que en muchos pequeños municipios ni tan siquiera tienen algún tipo de ayuda cultural, al menos para aquellos que ejercen profesionalmente la cultura, aunque puedan tenerlo para asociaciones culturales.
