La comunicación verbal tiene entre otras ventajas, que es personal e interactiva, permite obtener respuesta inmediata al mensaje dado, estimula a la otra parte al dialogo, permite ser completada mediante gestos, permite identificar a la persona aun cuando no la vemos, todos los seres humanos la podemos realizar, salvo problemas físicos/psíquicos, facilita la corrección instantánea de tú mensaje. Mientras que las desventajas son, que es una forma efímera y transitoria de comunicación, esta sujeta a malas interpretaciones por las personas, tiene distintos usos verbales y uso de tiempo, no todas las personas puede oír con claridad tú mensaje.
